2 Gallon KIT: 1 gallon Part A and 1 gallon Part B. Color: Black (only). COVERAGE: 200-320 square feet (@ 5-8 mils wet thickness).
EpoxyPRO Oil Stop Primer is used prior to finish coating your floor. It is a two component industrial grade epoxy undercoating engineered specifically to cover oil, petroleum, and silicone based contamination that cannot be removed with a degreaser. In many instances petroleum and silicone based products can penetrate the surface of concrete floors to the extent that the oil may not be removed by surface cleaning. If untreated, this oil may migrate back to the surface to cause a delamination. Our Oil Stop primer mixes with these contaminates and penetrates deeply into the concrete substrate to lock in contamination, leaving a more receptive concrete surface and though it exhibits excellent characteristics for coating over petroleum based oil contaminated concrete this product however, is not intended for use over vegetable oil, animal fat or synthetic oil contaminated concrete.
COVERAGE: (1A to 1B mix ratio up to 300 SF per gallon)
RECOMMENDED FOR: Recommended for petroleum oil contaminated substrates. This product can withstand exposure to many common solvents and chemicals and allows excellent substrate penetration which results in excellent adhesion and is an ideal primer for the oil contaminated concrete substrate.
APPLICATIONS
EpoxyPRO Oil Stop Primer is suited as a primer for most epoxy-based products where petroleum oil based contamination cannot be fully removed using degreasers or floor etching solutions. These applications include the following:

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Temperature of concrete must be 60°F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Pour Part A into a clean container and add Part B Stir for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle. Immediately begin application.
APPLICATION
RECOMMENDED FILM THICKNESS: 5-8 mils per coat wet thickness = 3-5 mils dry. COVERAGE: 200-320 square feet @ 5-8 mils wet thickness. Apply with brush, or 3/8″ nap roller.
DRY TIME
EpoxyPRO Oil Stop Primer for oil saturated concrete – will normally be ready to recoat in 8-10 hours. Top-coating before 8 hours can cause some slight bleeding of the Oil Stop Primer into the topcoat. For best results wait 16-24 hours before applying the EpoxyPRO Industrial Grade Epoxy Floor Coating of your choice.
